It’s become another opportunity for people to come together safely while enjoying some outdoor exercise during the spring and summer months. The Bike and Brew is held twice a week, departing at 7 p.m.

Summer is just around the corner, which means that the Souris Valley Theatre board is getting ready for the season.

Darren Jones – the man who created popular local monuments like the Estevan Soldiers' Tree and Forever in the Clouds, along with tributes to local sports and industries and a number of gorgeous private projects – is paying a visit again.

The Bow Valley Jamboree, a longstanding annual live music event, is returning to Oxbow this August. The event will take place on Aug. 7 at the beautiful Bow Valley Theatre south of Oxbow.

Three recipients of the Millie Coghill Fine Arts Award were named by the Weyburn Arts Council for 2021. The winners include Jillian Harder, Kristen Fortune and Darcy Klein, and each were awarded $500.

Due to the continued uncertainty surrounding large gathering restrictions, the upcoming Gord Bamford #Rednek Music Festival tour date scheduled for June 12 at Affinity Place has been cancelled.

Local artist Deanna Brown's first colouring book became available through Amazon on May 5. The Ultimate Mandala offers over 300 unique, stress-relieving and charming designs to be coloured, enjoyed and potentially turned into decoration pieces.

The Estevan Art Gallery and Museum (EAGM) has a pair of new exhibits, and one of the installations is courtesy of a former staff member. Chantel Schultz’s This Loop is Wearing Thin is in the EAGM’s Gallery No. 2.

An invitation has been extended to all southeast communities to join the Southeast Sport, Culture and Recreation District virtually to celebrate the past year’s activities. They are facilitating a virtual annual meeting on Thursday, May 27, at 6 p.m.

Wood-working has turned into a serious passion for former senior public health inspector Grant Paulson, and he shared his hobby in a presentation to members of the Weyburn Rotary Club on Thursday via Zoom.
