On Sunday March 6th the weather was sunny and fair for the Moose Mountain Knights of Columbus Annual Snowmobile Derby held out of Jerry Webers farm shop. Close to 50 riders came out for a great sunday afternoon ride through the country side.

Carlyle Lions Dinner raises over $30,000

The Carlyle and District Lions Club held another successful fundraising dinner and auction, bringing in more than $30,000. Event organizers seemed pleased with how the event turned out, and the 220 ticket holders appeared to enjoy their night out.

Story:The Bantam Cougars entered league play offs facing the Oxbow Jr. Huskies. Game #1 was played on home ice Feb.28th. The Cougars struck first with an early goal from Brayden Starr assisted by Kirkland Chalus and Drake Smith.

Lampman is excited to announce 2010-2011 is the first year of the Black Gold Light Horse 4-H Club! There was a lot of interest in a youth based riding group when the club started up in the fall as there was no Light Horse club in this 4-H district.

The Kennedy Homecraft 4-H club help their public speaking competition on Feb 15th at the Kennedy School. We would like to thank Jean Sostorics and Cheryl Sawyer for judging. The junior members were didvided into two groups based on their age.
