A novice skier from the Humboldt area has been chosen to represent the province.

A downtown building will soon have a new purpose. The Humboldt and District Museum and Gallery (HDMG) will be taking over stewardship of the Willkommen Centre soon. The Willkommen Centre is presently being used for office space for city staff.

CN Rail has made some major changes to its buildings in Humboldt over the past few months, which has left the historic train station empty and unused, at least for now.

A draft of the City of Humboldt's Strategic Plan was presented to the public during a Town Hall Meeting on January 27. The meeting gave citizens an opportunity to voice their opinions on the plan and share their visions of Humboldt's future.

A preliminary spring runoff forecast isn't good news for the Humboldt region. The Saskatchewan Watershed Authority (SWA) has prepared an early outlook of potential spring runoff conditions for the province based on a threat of spring flooding.

It might be second-hand, but some lab equipment from a local college is finding new life. St. Peter's College (SPC) in Muenster has donated some of their old laboratory equipment to a school in Tanzania.

The SaskTel Northern Men's playdown was held at the Unity Curling club January 20-23 with 23 teams competing. Among those curlers at the event were some from the Humboldt region.
