On Jan. 8 at approximately 9:30 p.m., members of the Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team conducted enforcement action at a business in the hospitality industry in the 3500 block of 2nd Avenue West.

At the time of his death, Trent Angus was wanted by Cut Knife RCMP for a firearms complaint on Little Pine First Nation that occurred on Nov. 28, 2021.

The increase is only a recommendation at this point as council still needs to review the budget and make any changes it sees fit.

On Jan. 7 at approximately 6 p.m., police were called to the 2900 block of 2nd Avenue West for a report of a theft in progress where car keys had been stolen.

On Jan. 6 at approximately 9:50 p.m., police were called to a residence in the 500 block of 12th Street West for a report of an altercation between a male and female where a male had been stabbed.

From July to Sept. 2024, the RCMP received a total of 301 calls for service, up by nine per cent from 275 calls for the same period in 2024.

Highlight: The city successfully advocated for the elimination of ranking communities by Crime Severity Index weights.

Funding was awarded in December 2024 for the CSOs to order 60 new car seats/booster seats.
