Vipers win first game at Westerns

The Northwest Vipers, played their first game in the Junior B Western Canadian Championships Thursday and pulled out a 8-5. The Vipers scored three runs in the first and five in the fifth to secure the win. They also stranded eight base runners.

After three games at the Western Canadian Junior B Women's Softball Championships in Winnipeg, the Northwest Vipers are 3-0. After winning their first one 8-5 Thursday, they went on to win 9-4 over the Hamiota Hurricanes of Manitoba.
