REGINA 鈥� Saskatchewan's government says it's finishing the last fiscal year with a $249-million deficit. The province says the deficit is slightly smaller than the $273-million deficit it projected in the 2024-25 budget.

The agency applied last spring for grants through provincial and federal streams, but because of long approval processes, it only learned that it was receiving the money 鈥� $501,233 鈥� earlier this year.

Strategies promote learning and development with the school division鈥檚 partners.

Holy Trinity Catholic School Division raised the money during Catholic Education Week for the 鈥淭oonies for Tuition鈥� program, which the Canadian Catholic School Trustees鈥� Association (CCSTA) organized.

Trustees with Holy Trinity Catholic School Division have approved their 2025-26 budget, which will have projected operating revenues and expenses next year of $32,499,126, an increase in both categories of $1,214,899, or 3.9 per cent.

"The records were in good shape," Ryan Deis, of L&A Chartered Professional Accountants, told council.
