A public inquest into the 2022 police shooting death of Ryan Booker will be held in Regina from June 23 to 26. Booker left behind two sons and a fiancé.

Amiir Hussen, who was charged in February with a 2022 Regina murder, was arrested on May 26 and also charged in connection with a 2020 Edmonton homicide.

The police investigation began in August 2024.
