A Weyburn-area woman and her daughter participated in a marathon to benefit a worthwhile cause, recently. Louise Wallin from Yellow Grass and her daughter Sherry Wallin of Moose Jaw participated in the Las Vegas Marathon on December 5.

On Nov. 21st, 2010 the Carlyle 10 & unders headed to Arcola for their first matchup. A great game was expected and the fans were not disappointed. Arcola came out strong in the first and the Cougars found themselves down by 3 going into the second.

The Pee Wee Cougars played in the Kipling Tournament on Saturday, Dec. 11. Despite the cold, the Cougars were hot, and ended up winning the B Side Final. The first game of the day was a thriller against Whitewood that ended up in a shootout.

Estevan Apex Bruins win 10th straight

As the Christmas break nears, the Estevan Apex midget AA Bruins continue to climb towards the top of the South Sask midget AA league. The Bruins won two more contests over the weekend to push their streak to 10 victories in a row.
