REGINA - The Regina Airport Authority (RAA) board has made a few changes.

Tyler Willox has moved into the chair of the board of directors, replacing Rob Vanderhooft.

Vanderhooft served as the chair for nine years, the maximum tenure allowed on the airports board.

James Bogusz, CEO of the RAA, said, "we are grateful for the impact Rob has had during his tenure on the Board and as Chair. Rob's guidance and steady leadership have helped to capitalize on YQR’s incredible recovery and increased business."

Willox received a nomination from the province. He’s been on the RAA board for seven years, serving as the vice chair for the past two years.

"I am excited about the opportunity to lead our exceptional Airport Board. YQR is a big part of our regional economy and will continue to play a key role in our province’s future," he said.

Replacing Willox as vice chair is Cory Furman, who was nominated by the City of Regina.

The RAA also announced the appointment of Dave Pettigrew, CEO at Harvard Western Insurance, to the board following a nomination by Regina.
