REGINA — Jim Wilcox is Saskatchewan’s newest The Bigger Spin winner. The Regina local was thrilled to discover the ticket he purchased not only won $10,000, but also earned him a spot on The Bigger Spin prize wheel - live and in person.

“It’s extremely exciting to say that I actually won something,” Wilcox said at the initial prize claim interview. “I’ll probably be shaking like a leaf [when I step up to spin the wheel] — It’s a big adventure.”

“I thought it was $10,000 at first and was excited, then the cashier explained the wheel and I got really excited.”

On June 3, Wilcox stepped up to The Bigger Spin wheel and walked away with a $350,000 prize.

After spinning and winning in front of his family and friends, Wilcox said: “I’m going to retire comfortably.”

The Regina winner said he and his wife have some early plans for the windfall.

“My lovely wife wants a new vehicle, so we may look at that too,” Wilcox laughed. “She said when she saw me win, it was the biggest smile she’s ever seen me smile.”

Wilcox purchased his winning The Bigger Spin ticket at the 7-Eleven at 1106 Devonshire Dr. N. in Regina.

How The Bigger Spin works:

The Bigger Spin is a $10 instant ticket that gives players the chance to win cash prizes like a regular scratch ticket. Players can also uncover a ‘Spin Win,’ allowing them to reveal their prize on an animated prize wheel at any Lotto Spot retailer. If the prize is a “Bigger Spin,” they win $10,000 and earn a live spin on a prize wheel that guarantees a minimum $200,000 prize, up to $1 million.

Tickets for The Bigger Spin are available at Lotto Spot retailers across Saskatchewan.

Sask Lotteries has supported more than 12,000 sport, culture and recreation groups across the province for over 50 years. Since 1974, more than $1.4 billion from lottery sales in Saskatchewan has supported programs ranging from grassroots athletics to cultural events and park programs.
