SASKATCHEWAN — Average retail gasoline prices in Saskatchewan are 132.74 c/L, flat from last week's 132.85 c/L., according to GasBuddy's daily survey.
This compares with the national average that has fallen 0.4 c/L in the last week to 134.85 c/L, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com. The national average has increased 0.4 c/L during the last month and stands 28.7 c/L lower than this day one year ago.
"Gas prices across Canada were mixed over the past week, with declines seen in several provinces, while British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec experienced increases," said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. "Despite some upward movement in key population centres, the national average still trended relatively stable through the Canada Day weekend. Looking ahead, OPEC’s weekend decision to boost oil production by a larger-than-expected 548,000 barrels per day in August could add downward pressure on oil prices, potentially easing pump prices in the weeks ahead. If tensions in the Middle East remain contained and the Atlantic hurricane season stays quiet, there’s a growing chance Canadians could see broader relief at the pump as summer progresses."
