Terrance M. Michaluk

MICHALUK-Terrance M. Michaluk, beloved son of John and Ann Michaluk, of Preeceville, passed away at the Regina General Hospital on June 17, 2025, with his family by his side. He was 61 years of age. Terrance was born July 18,1963, to John and Ann Michaluk in Preeceville, SK.  A year later, his brother Travis was born and 4 years after, his brother, Thomas. Terrance was baptized at the Holy Transfiguration Ukrainian Catholic Church in Preeceville. He completed Catechism and was confirm in the church and served as an alter server. Terrance started elementary school in Buchanan for part of Grade 1. Shortly after, the family moved from the farm, into Preeceville and Terrance took the rest of his schooling there.  He graduated from high school in 1981. During his school years, Terrance was very active in track and field. He won numerous awards and ribbons. He was also an avid curler. His team won many school playdowns and then bonspiels as they got older.  His parents still have a scrapbook at home of all his curling achievements. Terrance’s love of fixing things led him to mechanics school in Fort McMurray.  He apprenticed at Preeceville Implements (now known as Pattison’s) and was able to finish his mechanics courses in Saskatoon. After he graduated, he continued to work at Preeceville Implements, specializing in lawn and garden repair.  Terrance worked at Pattison’s for over 25 years and received the Years of Excellence award while there. Terrance’s other passion was his yard. When he wasn’t at work, he was always outside cutting grass, trimming hedges and pulling weeds. He also enjoyed his firepit where he would love to sit and BBQ with his family and friends. In 2022, Terrance’s health declined, and he was placed in the Porcupine Long Term Care. Later that same year, he was transferred to Preeceville Long Term Care where he resided until his passing. His parents were tirelessly by his side, ensuring he got the best possible care, much to the annoyance of the nursing home staff. He will sadly be missed by all that knew him. He is survived by his parents, John and Ann Michaluk, brother Travis (Korinne), brother Thomas (Pattie), nephew Bradley (Andrea), and great nieces Addisyn and Aubry, plus numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A Memorial Service was held on Friday, June 27, 2025, from the Chapel of Preeceville Funeral Home with Crystal Bailey officiating. David Zarazun shared the eulogy and special memories. Interment followed at the Ukrainian Catholic Parish Cemetery with Bradley Schutte serving as Urn Bearer. Memorial donations in memory of Terrance may be made to charity of one’s choice as gifts of remembrance. Condolences can be sent to the family from Terrance’s tribute page at preecevillefuneralhome.com. Arrangements were entrusted to Preeceville Funeral Home.
