October 13, 1942 - June 25, 2025
Don Templeton passed away peacefully at Sun Pointe Village in Kelowna, BC on June 25, 2025, at the age of 82.
Don is survived by his family, whom he was very proud of: his son Tom and his daughter-in-law Trixie; his grandchildren Arianna, Alyssa, and Ashley; and his great-granddaughter, Alexis, and great-grandson, Austin. He will also be missed by his family and friends in Manor, Saskatchewan and by the caregivers at Sun Pointe Village, who made him feel like family, and who he truly appreciated. Sadly, Don was predeceased by his son Allen.
Born on October 13, 1942, to the late Thomas and Nessie Templeton, Don was raised on the family farm in Manor, SK and he grew up to work as an operator in the grain elevator. Don loved living in a tight-nit community and was a self-described "small town county man". And, while he was the consummate proper Scottish gentleman, who enjoyed his tea and "Dad's" cookies, it was wise not to let that fool you. He was also a fantastic pool shark, even on his worst days he was a difficult man to beat!
Don moved to Kelowna, BC in 2012, to be closer to his son Tom and to his granddaughter Ariana.
Ever friendly, Don always had a joke, a smile, and the twinkle of mischief in his eyes. He will be missed dearly.
