ARBORFIELD — The community of Arborfield, population 326, is hosting a variety of musical talent throughout the summer.

Colleen Walton, local volunteer and organizer, told SaskToday, “The 2025 Arborfield Summer Concert Series is packed with talent sure to entertain the whole family.”

Walton has several groups booked and ready to hit the In-Motion stage. The first concert in the Arborfield Summer Concert Series was held July 3, when local musicians Deb (Bergen) Miller and Rachel Dancsok performed gospel and easy-listening music to a large crowd.

Upcoming concerts are:

Wednesday, July 16, 7 p.m.
Russ and Karen MacNutt will perform everything from familiar country classics to folky singer-songwriter tales of whiskey and wine, love and loss, roads and rodeos. Russ says he’s looking forward to playing in the town where he used to visit his grandfather’s store.

Wednesday, July 30, 7 p.m.
Peyton Walton-Leonard Gray, known as Troubadour, is a young singer people may recognize from Telemiracle fundraisers. Gray is a country gospel singer-songwriter.

Sunday, Aug. 10, 1–3 p.m.
Ches Anthony, the Borodys and Drew Derksen will host a writers’ round. Admission is by donation, with proceeds going directly to the musicians.

Wednesday, Aug. 13, 7 p.m.
Sylvia, who plays keyboard and sings, and Dean Bernier, a former Saskatchewan fiddle champion, who also sings, will deliver lively music that’s sure to get toes tapping.

Wednesday, Aug. 20, 7 p.m.
Lenvale Elevators, featuring Shaun Dancey and the O’Flanagan Boys, return with their eclectic country-rock sound.

Sunday, Sept. 14, 2 p.m.
Gospel Jamboree – an afternoon of uplifting music with assorted performers.

Proceeds from the events will be split between funding Remembrance Day banners for the local legion and supporting the stage and future entertainment.

Attendees are reminded to bring chairs. In case of inclement weather, performances will be moved to the community hall.
